Our Ministries

Since 2004, our bus route has run up and down the streets of Hopkinsville, KY every Sunday morning, bringing in hundreds of riders. We have seen numerous lives changed, and countless families helped. 

Our Purpose...

Our purpose is to share the life changing Gospel of Jesus Christ and provide a safe and exciting environment to learn life lessons from the Word of God. We understand that many people, especially children, are unable to attend church every Sunday without a Bus ministry. This is why we devote our time, volunteers and resources to this great ministry! In addition to food and a fun program on the bus, we offer Sunday School classes for every age group, with trained teachers who address the specific needs and struggles of their class. 

What To Expect...

Once at the church, your kids will attend a children’s Sunday school class where they will be engaged with songs, games, and a Bible lesson. After class, they get to enjoy a full church service. After the morning class and service, a bus worker will take your children home on the bus, walk them to the front door, and drop them off with a parent.

Who are the volunteers on the church bus?

Every volunteer is a faithful, background checked member of Greater Cumberland Baptist Church with a heart for working with kids in Hopkinsville, KY.

How much does it cost to send my child on the church bus?

It doesn’t cost anything. It’s a free program provided by Greater Cumberland Baptist Church



How old does my child have to be to ride on the church bus?

Children must be at least 4 years old to ride on the bus unless accompanied by a parent.


Why does Greater Cumberland Baptist Church run a bus?

Our mission is to help young people follow Jesus as we seek to make an impact in Western Kentucky through the Gospel.
