The Lord brought Paul Edes and his family to Greater Cumberland Baptist Church in 2009 and allowed him to serve both part-time and later full-time as Assistant Pastor, working with Missions and Outreach/Discipleship. Over their time here, God has grown the Edes' family and now they have four children, with another baby on the way.  In July of 2019, God brought Greater Cumberland Baptist Church through a time of transition with founding Pastor Ken Shaver moving on. During this time, the Lord made it very clear that Paul Edes stepping in would be the best and most fruitful thing for the church. With much praying, fasting, and taking slow steps, the transition took place, and God has continued blessing the church in a wonderful way.
